Lewiston Police Blotter for Sept. 17, 2011

The following activity occurred Monday, Sept. 5, to Sunday, Sept. 11, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD reported a total of 83 calls during this period.

Monday, Sept. 5

•1600 block of Saunders Settlement Road, domestic. Patrol listed a 48-year-old female and a 64-year-old male as persons involved. Domestic incident report filed.

•1800 block of Ridge Road, one vehicle accident with injuries. Statement taken from the driver; the driver and one passenger taken to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, and one passenger taken to EM-Star at Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center. Vehicle towed; report filed.

•6600 block of Walmore Road, large fight. LPD on location with Niagara County Sheriff's Office and Town of Niagara Police. Patrol reported the weapons involved included a knife and a steel bar.

•LPD office, arrest. Patrol reported the arrests of two males, both age 24 years old, stemming from an assault incident at a bar/restaurant on the 800 block of Center Street. Suspects surrendered at the LPD office. Report filed.

•400 block of Roosevelt Avenue, custody problem. Patrol spoke with a female who stated the father of a female juvenile lives in Alabama and would not return his daughter home. Patrol attempted to contact with negative results.

•Area of Creek and Ridge roads, shooter problem. Caller reported hearing sounds similar to two gunshots. Patrol checked with negative results.

Tuesday, Sept. 6

•Saunders Settlement Road, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from the drivers; minor damage reported; no injuries and one vehicle towed. Report filed.

•Unspecified location, follow-up on an attempt to locate. Patrol reported a 17-year-old male listed as missing since Sept. 2 as a runaway.

•4700 block of Jason Court, property dispute. Patrol spoke with a 54-year-old male and advised the issue was a civil matter.

•500 block of Mountain View Drive, criminal mischief complaint. Complainant reported finding dog feces in the mailbox. Extra patrols requested.

•3600 block of Dickersonville Road, shooter complaint. Patrol checked with negative results.

Wednesday, Sept. 7

•400 block of Roosevelt Avenue, custody problem. Statement taken from a 35-year-old female who reported the father of a female juvenile refused to send the child back from a Georgia location. Complainant advised patrol she was the aunt and legal guardian. Patrol attempted to contact the male in question without success.

•1400 block of Saunders Settlement Road, property damage report. Caller reported a wheel fell off a vehicle and damaged a school wall. Vehicle towed; report filed.

•900 block of Center Street, two-vehicle accident. Parties exchanged information; no report.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, shoplifter/petit larceny. A 48-year-old female was placed under arrest for allegedly stealing $80.45 worth of earrings from a business. Appearance ticket issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

Thursday, Sept. 8

•800 block of Upper Mountain Road, burglary. A 57-year-old male and a 34-year-old female listed as victims reported the theft of a 2005 Yamaha Grizzly 125 4-wheeler from a garage. Report filed.

•LPD office, fraud complaint. Statement taken from a male regarding another male (no ages listed) about an incident that occurred in Niagara Falls.

•1100 block of Saunders Settlement Road, aggravated harassment. Statement taken from a 19-year-old female regarding a 35-year-old male suspect. Patrol advised the male to terminate all contact.

Friday, Sept. 9

•Niagara University campus, intoxicated male. Patrol reported the arrest of a 19-year-old male for disorderly conduct. Suspect was uncooperative with all orders.

•LPD office, follow-ups. Separate statements taken regarding an August sexual assault complaint. Investigations to continue.

•700 block of Center Street, fraud complaint. Call referred to State Police.

•Locations on the 2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, Center and North Eighth streets and Dickersonville and Ridge roads, separate two vehicle accidents. Statements taken from all drivers involved; no injuries or tows on first two calls, and two vehicles towed on the third. Reports filed.

•Academy Park, Center Street side, arrest. Patrol reported the arrest of a 16-year-old male juvenile for disorderly conduct. Bail of $80 assigned.

•Saunders Settlement and Tuscarora roads, vehicle/traffic check. Patrol reported the arrest of a 51-year-old female for vehicle operation while a registration is suspended/revoked and failure to keep right. Uniform traffic tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court and vehicle towed. Report filed.

Saturday, Sept. 10

•5700 block of Marywood Drive, alarm response at a grocery business. All secure; key holder on location.

•North Fourth Street, car/pedestrian accident. Statement taken from the driver; one pedestrian taken to Mount St. Mary's. No tow and MV form issued. Report filed.

•1400 block of Upper Mountain Road, two-car accident. Statements taken from the drivers; two parties taken to Mount St. Mary's for evaluation. Vehicles secured and MV forms issued. Report filed.

•400 block of Kenwood Drive, property dispute. Issue resolved by patrol. Male on location left for work; patrol cleared.

•Academy Park, unwanted party. Female evicted by patrol.

•Oak Run Drive, reckless driver. Caller reported a black SUV and a blue car speeding. Both parties located in Kiwanis Park and advised.

Sunday, Sept. 11

•800 block of Center Street, intoxicated female. Subject left with a friend in a taxi.

•Niagara University campus, intoxicated male. Subject taken to Mount St. Mary's by Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co.

•400 block of Harper Drive. Shooter complaint. Area checked with negative results.

•Robert Moses Parkway-Lewiston-Queenston bridge area, suspicious persons/vehicle. Two women were given a courtesy ride; all otherwise OK.

•5400 block of Elm Drive, missing person. Statement taken from a 64-year-old male regarding an 18-year-old female. Report filed. Patrol later reported the subject contacted her family.

•Center Street, fight/pushing complaint. Patrol reported juveniles and parents involved. Statements taken; investigation to continue.

•1300 block of Saunders Settlement Road, juvenile problem. Subjects advised to pick up the trash and leave the park; all otherwise OK.

•4500 block of Simmons Road, attempted burglary. Statement taken from a 51-year-old female regarding an unknown suspect. Suspect reportedly raised a screen and bathroom window at the residence; nothing missing.
