A Niagara-Wheatfield school bus on its way to the Niagara Charter School was in an accident with a Jeep at Lockport and Packard roads at about 8:49 a.m. Wednesday.
Town of Niagara Police Chief James Suitor said the two students on the bus at the time were taken to Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center for evaluation, but were not believed to be injured. The bus driver was taken to Erie County Medical Center with unspecified injuries. The Jeep driver was taken to Mount St. Mary's for possible broken facial bones and lacerations to the face.
Suitor said the investigation of the accident is continuing, and that arrangements were made to view the on-board video from the bus, due to conflicting reports on why the accident occurred.
