Tops names Youngstown resident as winner in 'Great American Car-a-Day Giveaway'

Tops Friendly Markets has announce that Patricia Hooker of Youngstown is a winner in its "Great American Car-A-Day Giveaway." Tops honored Hooker with a formal presentation on Thursday, July 14, at the DiMino Lewiston Tops location.

Hooker is the winner of a brand-new vehicle valued at $20,000 (or a cash alternative) as part of the Memorial Day-Fourth of July giveaway. Every time a customer shopped at a Tops Markets during that period of time using a BonusCard, she was automatically entered into that day's drawing for a chance to win a brand new car. Hooker is Tops' 28th "Great American Car-A-Day" winner. She made her winning purchase at the Sheridan Drive Tops location on June 26.

"We are thrilled to present 36 Tops shoppers with brand-new vehicles over the course of this exciting promotion," said Frank Curci, Tops president and CEO. "At Tops, we strive to create innovative ways to provide our customers with exciting shopping experiences like the 'Great American Car-A-Day Giveaway,' while delivering exceptional value every day."

Hooker, who has been shopping the DiMino's Lewiston Tops store since age 14, said she has never had a bad experience. She said the associates have always been extremely helpful and friendly.

As part of the "Great American Car-A-Day Giveaway," online users can vote for their favorite not-for-profit organization to win a new vehicle valued at $20,000. Through July 26, users can vote for one of the top 10 charities once per day through the Tops website or Facebook page.

As of Friday, Lewiston's Rivershore Inc. was ranked No. 5.
