Five Western New York Young Marines competed against Young Marines from across the country before being selected to attend National Leadership School at Fort Pickett in Virginia.
Nathan Link (Grand Island), Kelly Moje (Ransomville) and Kara Byrne (Tonawanda) met all the required criteria to secure places in National Senior Leadership School. Katie Moje (Ransomville) and Zack Connery (Wheatfield) met all the required criteria for Junior Leadership School.
These Young Marines attended a week of leadership training June 25 to July 2.
The Young Marines currently are accepting registration for classes beginning in August. Sign up by July 23.
