The St. Francis Guild Auxiliary of Mount St. Mary's Hospital has announced the recipients of two $500 scholarships. The guild awards a scholarship to a student from Niagara Catholic High School and to a Mount St. Mary's employee pursuing advanced education. The student at Niagara Catholic receiving the award is Jenna McCune of Niagara Falls. She will be attending Niagara University. The employee award is presented to Adrienne Kasbaum, manager of employee health, who will also be attending Niagara.
The St. Francis Guild has more than 250 members and holds several fundraising events for the hospital throughout the year, in addition to operating the gift shops at the hospital and Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. Members of the scholarship committee included: Shirley Bevacqua, Jessica Freeman, Geri Sdao, Tess Melcher, Maureen Ingham and Mary Ricciardi.
