Brewing, Flag Day and Civil War at NT History Museum

The North Tonawanda History Museum announces the following schedule for June. Regular hours are Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 •On Saturday, June 4, at 2 p.m., Peter Jablonski, operator of Peter J's Antiques and Collectibles, will present "Buffalo' Brewing Industry." Jablonski will describe the rise of an economically and culturally significant industry in Buffalo and the conditions that eventually caused such once familiar names as Becks, Stein's and Simon Pure to disappear. Admission is free.

•On Tuesday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Flag Day, veterans are invited to bring in written memories or come and share verbal memories and experiences of the conflicts during which they served.

•On Saturday, June 25, at 2 p.m., "The American Civil War," a 120-minute video presentation, will be shown. Admission is free for the program.

The North Tonawanda History Museum, Lumber City History Center, is located at 54 Webster St., North Tonawanda.
