Get your taste buds ready, and discover great culinary and entertaining ideas. The third annual Tour of Kitchens and Homes takes place in the Lewiston area on Saturday, June 11, and Sunday, June 12.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, six entertaining and cooking experiences in homes in both Lewiston and Youngstown will be paired with a local restaurant offering ticket holders samples of signature dishes. Homes will also be paired with retailers and tablescape artists who will prepare a tablescape, illustrating artful ways of setting a table for guests.

Sandy Hays Mies, president of Limelight WNY LLC, the event management and marketing company coordinating this culinary tour, said that this year's event is sure to be a hit for anyone who is interested in redecorating, refurbishing, rebuilding or simply dreaming about a phenomenal entertaining space. "You will take away innovative ideas and surely you will be inspired to create a breathtaking tablescape for your next dinner party," she said.

A portion of ticket sales will benefit the Historical Association of Lewiston and the Porter Historical Society.

Featured retailers and tablescape artists include All Season Rental, Canterbury Place, The Country Doctor, Homeward Bound, AJC Interiors, vanderpool:design, Tasia Fitzpatrick and Summertime Blooms.

Participating restaurants and their culinary samplings include: Carmelo's Restaurant - antipasti Terrine; The Red Coach Inn/The Bistro at the Old Fort Inn - Southwestern steak fajita canapé, chicken salad Oliver; The Nines Catering Company - "Wine and Cheese Revisited"; The Youngstown Village Diner - black bean and rice soup, strawberry walnut salad; Wine on Third - sesame seared ahi tuna; Macri's Italian Grille - manicotti with Bolognese sauce; Wegmans - grilled beef shoulder with Gorgonzola cheese; The Delaware - stuffed chili pepper, pork and cheddar tater tots.
