This year's Historical Association of Lewiston celebration on Wednesday, June 29, promises to be bigger and better than ever. Tickets are on sale now for $30 each and include a 6 p.m. dinner at the Niagara Falls Country Club. In addition, celebration attendees will receive a 50 percent off coupon for a ride on the Black Pearl this summer.

Tickets can be obtained over the phone by calling 754-4214 and purchasers must attend the dinner to receive the coupons.

The 2011 award winners include: Friend of History Award to Supervisor Steve Reiter; the Rueben Lewis Award (1812) to Gerry Ferguson and Wendt's Propane; the Josiah Tryon Award (volunteer of the year) to Jeanne Klein; the Calvin Hotchkiss Award (business of the year) to Nick and Amanda Alexander of the Black Pearl; and Benjamin Barton Awards (outstanding volunteer contributions) to Kay Kalick, Erin Weber, Matt Gallagher, and Jeff Jordan.

"Our annual celebration enables us to publicly thank our scores of volunteers and sponsors who have donated their time, energy and money, to help us promote and preserve Lewiston's rich heritage," said volunteer president Lee Simonson. "These individuals have made a tremendous difference, and their enthusiasm, dedication and service have put Lewiston on the map. The entire community is proud of their exceptional contributions and we offer our sincere gratitude."

Reservations and payment must be made by June 17.
