The Town of Porter Historical Society reports its May monthly meeting will feature Ed Evans presenting a program on the Hamlin Beach (N.Y.) Prisoner of War Camp. Evans is a member of the Hamlin Conservation Board and is actively involved with the preservation of the former CCC and POW camp at Hamlin Beach State Park.
The program will be held Monday, May 16, at 7 p.m. in the Cora Gushee Room of the Youngstown Red Brick School village center, 240 Lockport St. The public is invited and refreshments will be served.
