NBC.com has introduced the next innovation in network fan engagement: NBC Live (www.nbc.com/Live). The new companion-viewing tool provides a place for fans to interact in a moderated social stream and provides exclusive content synced to the on-air broadcast.

NBC Live rolls out with weekly live events for "The Office," "The Celebrity Apprentice," "The Biggest Loser" and the upcoming "The Voice" (premiering Thursday, April 26, 9-11 p.m. ET). Fans can access NBC Live through the Web on their personal computers or on their iPads.

The announcement was made by Vivi Zigler, president of NBCUniversal Digital Entertainment.

"NBC.com is dedicated to engaging fans, and NBC Live is all about connecting with your favorite show and others who love that show as much as you do," said Zigler, "We want to provide a place for fans to gather and provide them with unique insider information about each episode as it airs. It creates a live viewing experience that they can't get anywhere else."

The special attractions of NBC Live include:

  • Fans interact with fellow fans and the NBC Live staff in a moderated social stream. Fans can share their comments across Facebook and Twitter and follow other users.
  • Content that features polls, trivia, insider commentary, fun facts and character quotes that run synced to the broadcast.
  • Actors, writers, and other insiders will host special events.
  • Users will be able to vote for their favorite contestants on "The Voice"
