Old Fort Niagara is gearing up for another busy tour season and is seeking people interested in history to serve as tour guides for the spring and summer. Tours this year will focus on the fort's history during the War of 1812, the American Revolution and the French and Indian War. Although the site is open year round, the fort's busiest season is May through October. Hundreds of school classes visit during May and June.

Tour guide training sessions for new tour guides will be held at the fort on the weekends of April 9-10 and 16-17. These sessions will orient new guides on the history of the fort, allow them to meet staff, and provide them the opportunity to participate in various hands-on activities that will help them learn more about life on the Niagara frontier in the 18th and early 19th centuries.
