The cast of the much-talked-about new Broadway musical, "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark," will make their first late night talk show performance on the "Late Show with David Letterman," Tuesday, March 1 (11:35 p.m. ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.
The lavish and technically complex production, the most expensive musical in Broadway history, is based on the Marvel Comics' character "Spider-Man," created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Featuring music and lyrics by U2's Bono and The Edge, and directed by Tony Award winner Julie Taymor, "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" is currently in previews at the Foxwoods Theater on Broadway, with its opening night scheduled for March 15.
The "Late Show with David Letterman" is a production of Worldwide Pants Incorporated. Barbara Gaines, Matt Roberts, Jude Brennan, Maria Pope, Eric Stangel, Justin Stangel and Rob Burnett are the executive producers.
