Fallon will author two books based in-show segments; first "Thank You Notes" hits shelves on May 23
NBC Universal Television Consumer Products Group and Grand Central Publishing, a division of Hachette Book Group, announced today that they will publish "Thank You Notes," a series of two books by NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" host Jimmy Fallon. The books are based on the popular "Thank You Notes" segments, which air every Friday night on Fallon's hit show. The first "Thank You Notes" will be published as a trade paperback original and will hit store shelves on May 23.
"Thank You Notes" will address more than 150 subjects in need of Fallon's undying gratitude, and each page will feature one of Fallon's special notes and a photograph of the recipient. From sweater vests and adult mittens, to his dad, to a light bulb he is too lazy to replace, the book will incorporate many of the subjects that make Fallon's life a little bit fuller. "Thank You Notes" will also include a special foreword from Fallon.
"We are thrilled to publish the first book to come out of 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,' and what a better way to start than with Jimmy's hilarious, beloved 'Thank You Notes,'" said Ben Greenberg, senior editor at Grand Central Publishing.
"Jimmy's keen sense of humor and wry wit really shine in these segments and we are very excited to bring them to the fans in a collection of books," said Kim Niemi, senior vice president, NBC Universal Television Consumer Products Group. "Grand Central Publishing is a great partner to bring these books to stores and we know that 'Thank You Notes' will be a must-have book for comedy lovers for years to come."
