Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours acquires interest in 65 Center St. property from local investor

Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours has acquired the property located at 65 Center St., in the Village of Lewiston, from the successful bidder at the recent foreclosure auction. 

On Jan. 5, Tranzon Auction Properties auctioned the property known as the Barton Hill Spa, formerly known as the Village Inn. Peter Sinclair, a businessman from Tonawanda, was the successful bidder amongst the 10-12 registered bidders.

Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours President John Kinney contacted Sinclair regarding his interest in the parcel. WJBT was successful in acquiring Sinclair's interest in the property.

"I attended the auction, but did not register as a bidder," Kinney said. "However, after the auction, I contacted Mr. Sinclair and approached him about 'flipping' the property."

Terms were agreed to and a closing on the property was conducted on Jan. 13.

Plans for the property are being developed. Nothing is proposed at this time.
