The spirit of the holidays graced the Village of Lewiston last weekend at the 43rd annual Lewiston Christmas Walk celebration. Visitors to the village enjoyed a number of festive activities, including a Christmas parade, visits with Santa, caroling and rides in horse-drawn carriages.

In the photos, 2010 Peach Queen Courtney Corbetta greets Santa at the helicopter in Academy Park and escorts him to waiting children. Santa greets residents in a horse-drawn carriage as he leads the parade of children down Center Street to the Peace Garden Courtyard. A large crowd follows Santa. At the courtyard he greets young visitors with help from the Peach Queen, Peach Blossom and Peach Fuzz. Outside the KeyBank branch on Center and Fifth streets, the Christmas beagle leads Salvation Army carolers as they sing holiday favorites. A petting zoo was popular with families in Hennepin Park. Left to right, 9-year-old Allyssa Cragle of Wilson and 8-year-old Megan Sherman of Youngstown make Christmas centerpieces. The musical quintet Endymion performs in the Lewiston Museum. And at Academy Park, Frosty and Rudolph entertain young onlookers. (photos by Wayne Peters)
