Advent is a time of giving
during the four weeks before Christmas. At St. Christopher School, every
student in grades pre-K to 8 has designed an angel that is displayed in the
school's halls. These angels have a special meaning for each child. They have
made a promise on the back of their angels to a special person in their lives.
At the end of each week, if they have fulfilled their promise to that person,
their angel receives a star. If all their deeds have been successfully
fulfilled by the time Advent ends, their angel will receive a halo and then
they will be given to their special person, a gift from their hearts. Shown
with some of the angels are Renee Jaenecke (Starpoint), Mason Blake, Zach
Baronich, Julia Bauer, Dylan Blazynski (Niagara-Wheatfield), Katie Wojtaszek,
Janie MacKinnon and Molly Witkop (Niagara-Wheatfield).
