Antique auction to benefit homeless and hungry of Niagara County

Community Missions will hold its annual Antiques and Fine Arts Auction to benefit the homeless and hungry of Niagara County on Sunday, Nov. 14. The event runs from 3 until 6 p.m. at the LaSalle Yacht Club, 73 S. 68th St., Niagara Falls.

Admission is $15 per person or $25 per couple. 

The afternoon will begin with a viewing of the items for auction and an international sampling of hors d'oeuvres including French, Italian, Vietnamese, Indian, Danish and other delicacies. The auction itself will begin at 4 p.m. Items for bid include a Kittinger arm chair; Tiffany jewelry; lots of other jewelry; McCoy pottery; Spode, Delft, Limoges, Lifton, porcelain; Hummel figurines; bronzes; art glass, Kupie dolls, regular dolls; a desk; Victorian arm chair; temple rubbings; gilt-edge mirrors; Persian rugs; a set of English Walnut dining room antique chairs; new gold electro-plate coffee and tea set; clocks; lamps; old postcards; a Picasso and lots of other prints and original paintings. 

The auctioneer will be Bob Deull and the honorary chair is Peggy Addoms.

The auction will support the Mission's soup kitchen, called Community Kitchen, its homeless shelter, and other programs to help the most needy in Niagara County.
