Edwards breaks ground in Wheatfield

of Wheatfield, Niagara County IDA and Niagara County Legislature welcomed a new
neighbor with the ground-breaking ceremony this month for Edwards, formerly
Edwards Vacuum, a company of international presence that will call the Town of
Wheatfield its U. S. headquarters.
United Kingdom-based Edwards by next August expects to house manufacturing,
distribution and customer service operations at Vantage International Pointe in
Wheatfield, employing more than 100 people. Currently, Edwards has a
manufacturing site in Grand Island, a distribution center on Niagara Falls
Boulevard in Wheatfield and customer service center in Massachusetts.

semi-conductors, flat panel displays, LED and solar cells. They also are a
leader in vacuum technology for industrial, pharmaceutical, chemical,
scientific, glass coating and food packaging industries. Edwards employs around
3,000 people worldwide in design, manufacture and support high technology
vacuum and exhaust management equipment.
