The Niagara County
Community College Athletic Department, in conjunction with the health and
physical education division and the human service club, is raising funds for
breast cancer research.
NCCC fall athletes will be seen wearing pink shirts during their game day warmups to raise breast cancer awareness and will seek donations from their family and friends. Pink breast cancer bracelets will also be available for $1 throughout the month of October. All proceeds will go directly to the American Cancer Society.
"It is our hope to not only have our athletes be educated and well rounded, but to be a contributing part of society through community involvement," said Jillian Faddoul, athletic event coordinator.
