The sights and sounds of an
18th century fortress will mingle with the smells of a good, old-fashioned
barbecue when Old Fort Niagara hosts a pig roast to benefit the historic site
on Saturday, Sept. 25. From 5:30 p.m. until sunset, the public can enjoy food,
music, an 18th century puppet show, 18th century games, a cannon firing at
sunset and a variety of other activities for all ages.
"We look forward to welcoming the community to spend an evening enjoying Old Fort Niagara with this special fundraiser," said Executive Director Robert Emerson. "Thank you to Gary Cottle with Bandana's Bar & Grill, Supermarket Liquors and Wines, and Flying Bison Brewery for supporting this event."
Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for children 6-12 and children under 6 are free. Price includes fort admission, food and activities. The event also features beer-tasting, a cash bar and silent auction. Call 745-7611 for tickets.
