Picture this: an elegant high tea, a spectacular basket auction, a variety of fruits, sandwiches, cookies and scones -- all this while supporting NOAH, Niagara Organizing Alliance for Hope, a faith-based countywide organization focused on Niagara's quality of life and social justice issues.

This Victorian tea, presented by the Community Tea Ladies, will be held Saturday, Sept. 25, beginning at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 505 Cayuga St., in Lewiston. Tickets are $25 with all proceeds going to NOAH. Attendance is limited with paid reservations due by Sept. 11 to Karen Carroll, 141 Park Lane Circle, Lockport, NY 14094. Her phone number is 434-1394.

Churches from Lockport, North Tonawanda, Niagara Falls and Youngstown are part of NOAH and this fundraiser is a way NOAH can show other grant-funding organizations that they raise funds themselves through special events.

There are also tickets available for a chance on a gourmet dinner for eight to be held either at the Van Horn Mansion in Burt near Newfane or at the Presbyterian Church in Niagara Falls.
