Youngstown Police Blotter for Aug. 14

The
following activity took place from Monday, July 12, though Wednesday, Aug. 4,
as reported by Village of Youngstown Police Department.
Monday, July 12
- 500 block
of Water Street, criminal mischief. A 21-year-old male attempted to take a fire
extinguisher. The male was confronted and fled the scene. Charges were not
pressed against the individual.
Tuesday, July 13
- Lynnbrook
Drive, shooter complaint. A resident complained of gunshot noises near the
backyard. Patrol checked the area with negative results.
Wednesday, July 14
- Center and
Fourth streets in Lewiston, fight. Patrol assisted the Lewiston Police
Department with a fight and demanded the fight participants to disburse. All
okay.
- 1700 block
of Swann Road, domestic incident. Patrol responded to a resident who reported a
domestic incident. The intoxicated male fled on foot.
- Church
Street, traffic ticket. Patrol issued a uniform traffic ticket for speeding to
a 34-year-old female. She was going 42 mph in a 30 mph zone.
Friday, July 16
- 1800 block
of Youngstown-Lockport Road, possible domestic incident. Patrol responded to a
possible domestic incident. A report was filed.
- Main
Street, two traffic tickets issued. Police issued an unidentified party a
uniform traffic ticket for failing to yield at a right-of-way. A second ticket
was issued to a 16-year-old male for operating his vehicle out-of-class.
- 200 block
of Elm, gunshot noises. Patrol spoke with the homeowner who stated there were
guns in the house, but they were not being used.
Saturday, July 17
- 800 block
of Lockport Street, noise complaint. Patrol responded to a complaint of dogs
barking. Upon arrival, they observed dogs in caged areas barking and howling
loudly. The resident was uncooperative and asked patrol to leave. The SPCA was
contacted and the address was given for follow-up investigation.
Sunday, July 18
- 400 block
of Lockport Road, unwanted male. Patrol spoke with the complainant and the
unwanted male. The male was asked to leave.
- 3300 block
of Creek Road, missing woman. Patrol attempted to locate a woman with negative
results.
Wednesday, July 21
- 300 block
of Brookshire Road, criminal mischief complaint. Patrol responded to a
43-year-old male who reported he heard a loud noise coming from his garage. The
man walked outside and saw the suspect take off towards a park. Patrol checked
the area with negative results.
Thursday, July 22
- 100 block
of Lake Street, dog barking complaint. Patrol spoke with several neighbors that
stated the dog is constantly barking and being left alone. The owner could not
be reached.
- 3800 block
of River Road, possible underage drinking party. Patrol responded to a
complaint of a possible underage drinking along the waterfront. The area was
checked and nothing was found.
- 400 block
of Brookshire Road, confused resident. An elderly female complained she was
confused. The female was transported to Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health
Center for further evaluation.
Friday, July 23
- 900 block
of Pletcher Road, domestic incident. Police responded to a domestic incident
between a husband and wife. The State Police is pending an investigation.
Saturday, July 24
- Youngstown-Lockport
Road, larceny. Patrol responded to a larceny of peaches. The area was cleared.
- School
parking lot, fight. Patrol assisted the Lewiston Police Department with a
fight. All okay.
- 600 block
of Lockport Street, suspicious condition. A resident stated two males were in
her backyard and ran to a blue SUV. The home was searched. No suspects were
found.
- Lockport
Road and Robert Moses Parkway, traffic direction. Patrol assisted the State
Park Police in towing a vehicle. The vehicle fell off the dolly.
Sunday, July 25
- 300 block
of Main Street, domestic incident outside a business. Patrol responded to a
51-year-old male who was struck in the head by a 31-year-old male. The suspect
fled the scene. The victim was taken to Mount St. Mary's Hospital. An
investigation is pending.
- 300 block
of Main Street, disorderly conduct at a business. A 52-year-old intoxicated
male was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and using obscene language
in a public place. A report has been filed.
- 400 block
of Lynnbrook, honest resident returns wallet. A resident reported that her son
found a wallet in their backyard. Patrol retrieved the wallet and returned it
to the owner on the 2100 block of Balmer Road.
- 1400 block
of Youngstown-Lockport Road, male stung. A male was stung by a bee. The
Youngstown Volunteer Fire Co. transported the male to Mount St. Mary's Hospital
for further evaluation.
- Campsite
fire. The Youngstown Volunteer Fire Co. extinguished a fire at a dumpster. The
dumpster was located at a Four-Mile Creek State Park campsite.
Monday, July 26
- Lake
Street, follow-up on dog. Patrol followed up on a dog complaint with the
63-year-old resident. The male was advised neighbors were concerned his dog was
being left outside all the time.
Monday, Aug. 2
- Mollcody
Road, prowler complaint. Patrol assisted the Lewiston Police Department on a
complaint of a prowler. The area was checked with negative results.
- 2100 block
of Langdon Road, domestic incident. Police responded to a domestic incident
that occurred between a male and female, both 45 years old. A report has been
filed.
Wednesday, Aug. 4
- 1700 block
of Randall Road, property dispute. Patrol responded to a property dispute
between a wife and ex-husband.
- Youngstown-Lockport
Road, traffic ticket. A uniform traffic ticket was issued to a 17-year-old
female who was speeding. She was going 50 mph in a 35 mph zone.
- 400 block
of Riverview Drive, house alarm. Patrol responded to a residential house alarm.
The home was secured and all was cleared.
