The Bergholz German Band attracted a large and appreciative crowd to the Lewiston gazebo on July 30 for one of the Lewiston Council on the Arts' international concerts.

Shown are band members busy at work, Rachel Birkman of Wheatfield playing a "devil's fiddle" and Doug Farrell of Akron playing the anvil. Coming up for the Bergholz German Band are concerts Aug. 12 at noon at the Akron gazebo, Aug. 22 at the German Historical Society's Das Haus on Niagara Road in Bergholz, Aug 28 at 1 p.m. at the Wheatfield Family Picnic, and Sept. 4 at 1 p.m. at the German Festival in Cheektowaga Town Park.
