The fifth-graders at St. John Lutheran School recently completed the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program. Deputy Steen, Niagara County D.A.R.E. officer, taught a 10-week course that gave students the tools and information needed to say no to substance abuse and violence. In order to graduate from this program, students had to write an essay on what they learned and what the program meant to them.
