In an era of failed businesses and hurt feelings, Destino's Pizza & Pasta proprietor Frank Destino says the key to success is simple.

Just listen to your customers.

"You give the customer what they want, when they want, and how they want it," he says.

Destino's Pizza is celebrating its fifth anniversary at 3909 Creek Road, Porter. The eatery recently added "& Pasta" to its title to signify its new Italian dishes. In addition to New York style, deep dish and old fashioned pizza, Destino's now offers spaghetti, shells, gnocchi, penne and chicken parmesan.

Destino says customer reaction to the new pasta selections has been favorable.

"It's really taken off - especially with the holidays," he says.

Destino says family packs, in particular, have taken off. Destino's offers three different sizes: 3 pounds of pasta (including four meatballs, four rolls), $15.99; 4 pounds (six and six), $21.95; and 5 pounds, (10 and 12), $27.95.

To order, call 745-7750.
