American Sign Language and deaf culture classes available in Niagara Falls

Want to learn to have brief conversations with hearing-impaired individuals who are American Sign Language users - and learn more about this community?

Independent Living of Niagara County is offering an eight-week course, "Learn American Sign Language," presented by experienced ASL teacher Jeanette Grimaldi, Classes will be held at ILNC's office at Haeberle Plaza, 746 Portage Road (north of Pine Avenue), Niagara Falls.

The ASL and deaf culture class will be held 4-5 p.m. Mondays, from May 1 to June 19. The class fee is $25, while the textbook is $12.

Independent Living of Niagara County is a member of the Western New York Independent Living Inc. family of agencies, which offer an expanding array of services to aid individuals with disabilities to take control of their own lives.
