YMCA Buffalo Niagara leadership, volunteers, and staff gathered late last week at the Westin Buffalo to celebrate the successful completion of the 2017 annual campaign. The association exceeded its $775,000 campaign goal by raising $782,017 for the Y's financial assistance program, which supports the organization's charitable mission to serve all, regardless of a person's ability to pay.

Funds raised from the YMCA annual campaign give children and families in need an opportunity to take part in programs and services they would otherwise be unable to afford. The financial assistance program gives children an opportunity to attend camp and afterschool programming, adults to improve their personal fitness, and seniors to develop a connection with others.

For more information about the Y's financial assistance program, or to make a contribution, visit www.YMCABN.org, call 716-565-6000, or stop by the YMCA.

Locally founded in 1852, YMCA Buffalo Niagara is a charitable, community-based organization committed to providing programs designed to build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The YMCA's focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility is reflected in the variety of programs that are offered to all ages and abilities. Collaborations with insurance carriers such as Univera, Independent Health and BlueCross BlueShield provide the opportunity for those seeking a healthier lifestyle to do so at the YMCA.

A not-for-profit organization, YMCA Buffalo Niagara serves over 100,000 people annually through seven branches located throughout Western New York, as well as at over 40 community-based program sites.
