The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation has released a request for proposals to operate the golf course and café at the Beaver Island State Park Golf Course.

The RFP calls for a qualified partner who will provide the sale and rental of golf-related equipment, carts and merchandise, as well as the operation of a food and beverage concession at the Grand Island golf course. Operations will be based out of the brand-new clubhouse that will be completed this spring. The length of the agreement is for five seasons, beginning in 2017.

The Beaver Island Golf Course is a USGA-recognized, championship 18-hole public course located on Grand Island. The popular 6,645-yard, par-72 course offers wide fairways leading to large, manicured greens, accented with hazards of white sand that challenge even the most seasoned golfer.

RFPs are due back to State Parks by Feb. 22. Interested parties may request a copy of the RFP by contacting Julianna Donner at 716-278-1746. A copy can be downloaded at www.nyscr.ny.gov.
