New light was shed on Niagara Falls for the first time earlier this month, with completion of the Niagara Falls Illumination Board's LED lighting project.
Since then, "Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive!" said Angela Berti, Niagara Falls Illumination Board member and marketing and public affairs representative with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. "The press received around the world has been exciting and we hope that it inspires people to come and visit."
The upgraded lights include more than twice the current brightness levels of the previously used Xenon lighting. The new LED technology also features increased light intensity and a broader color spectrum.
