Harris, a seven-year employee of the medical center, is an operating room technician who will complete her degree in nursing at Niagara County Community College this spring. She resides in Niagara Falls with her husband and two children.
The $500 scholarship is awarded annually to a Memorial employee who is pursuing additional education in the health care field. It is named for Werner, Memorial's first social work director, and her sister, who was a medical center volunteer. Both were long-time auxiliary members.
