NBC's "Sunday Night Football" continues this week with a matchup with NFC playoff implications, when Dak Prescott and the NFC East-leading Dallas Cowboys (11-2) host Jameis Winston and the 8-5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Coverage begins with "Football Night in America" at 7 p.m. ET.

The Cowboys are led by the rookie tandem of Prescott and RB Ezekiel Elliott. Prescott leads NFL rookies with a passer rating of 102.7, while Elliott leads the league with 1,392 rushing yards. The Cowboys look to rebound from a 10-7 loss to the Giants on "Sunday Night Football," which snapped their franchise-record 11-game winning streak.

The Buccaneers have won five consecutive games, the most recent a 16-11 victory over the New Orleans Saints. Winston has a 100.2 passer rating in his past four games on the road, while RB Doug Martin aims for his third straight game with a rushing touchdown. Buccaneers WR Mike Evans ranks third in the NFL in touchdown catches (10), and has 25 receiving touchdowns since entering league in 2014, tied for second-most in the NFC.

The Cowboys have won 11 of the past 15 meetings between the teams, but were defeated by the Buccaneers 10-6 in their last matchup in November 2015. In that game, Winston passed for 264 yards and rushed for the game-winning touchdown with 54 seconds remaining. Sunday is the first Buccaneers game on "Sunday Night Football" in eight years (Seattle-Tampa Bay, October 2008).
