The village's two large-scale bronze monuments underwent their annual maintenance recently, when volunteers from the Historical Association of Lewiston cleaned and waxed the renowned sculptures.

Work started at the Freedom Crossing Monument at the Niagara River, and progressed to the Tuscarora Heroes Monument at Portage Road and Center Street.
