The 16th annual Buffalo Family History Seminar will be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1424 Maple Road, Williamsville.

Everyone is welcome and no registration is needed. Admission and parking are free. Overflow parking is available at the school next door.

This year's theme is "Find Your Ancestors, Find Yourself." Classes have been designed for both beginners and experienced researchers. Topics will cover a variety of important aspects of genealogical research, including "Getting Started," "Wills and Probate Records" and "Immigration and Emigration." Popular genealogy websites will be demonstrated. Those interested in Irish, Italian, German and Polish research will find classes addressing those specific areas.

The full class list is available at buffalofamilyhistoryseminar.blogspot.com

Classes will be presented by members of local genealogical and historical societies, as well staffers from local LDS Family History Centers.

A light luncheon will be served for $5, or participants may bring a lunch. Out of respect to the host's standards, no alcohol, tobacco, coffee, or tea may be used on church premises.
