Sat, Oct 8th 2016 07:00 am

The North Tonawanda Youth, Recreation and Parks Department, along with the T-NT Gateway Committee, is sponsoring the annual "Haunted Harbor" event, which will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Gateway Harbor.

Children are encouraged to trick or treat at stations placed around the harbor, as well as at docked, decorated boats.

Activities will be offered on both the North Tonawanda and Tonawanda sides of the canal.

Children can enjoy free apples, games, prizes and hot chocolate. They can also have their faces painted by a zombie.

Friendly and spooky characters will be staffed throughout the event. Parents and children are encouraged to wear a costume, as well.

A canned food collection for the WNY Food Bank will be available at Gateway Harbor. Donations are encouraged.
