The State University of New York at Buffalo, in partnership with Pegula Sports and Entertainment, will celebrate "One Buffalo Day" on Saturday, Oct. 8, when the UB Bulls host Kent State at 3:30 p.m. at UB Stadium.

Pregame festivities begin at 12:30 p.m. and will include a number of free, family-friendly activities in the One Buffalo tent, such as a chance to meet Buffalo Bills and Sabres alumni, along with Billy Buffalo and Sabretooth. Buffalo Bandits star and reigning National Lacrosse League MVP Dhane Smith will be on hand to sign autographs with Bandits team mascot Rax. Meanwhile, Buffalo favorite Eddie Money will rock the stage at Stampede Square.

At game time, Bills legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas will join the teams at the 50-yard line to conduct the coin toss. Throughout the game, Billy Buffalo, Sabretooth and Rax will be circulating the stadium seats to surprise lucky fans with autographed team gear.

"We are proud to represent the City of Buffalo on the regional and national stage every time we take the field and the court," UB Athletic Director Allen Green said. "The passionate sports fans of Western New York are some of the greatest fans in the world, and proud of their deep sports tradition."

Pegula Sports and Entertainment's President and CEO Kim Pegula launched the One Buffalo initiative in 2014 to unite Western New York through a deeper connection between Buffalo sports teams, fans and the community. On Oct. 8, 2015, Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown declared the inaugural One Buffalo Day, which coincided with the first anniversary of Terry and Kim Pegula's purchase of the Buffalo Bills.

"One Buffalo Day is a very special day to us," said Bills and Sabres President Russ Brandon. "On Saturday, we celebrate our sports teams' deep connection to the entire community with the second annual 'One Buffalo Day.' We are very excited to bring our celebration to UB, where, together, we will show our pride in Buffalo and Western New York."

Tickets are available at the Alumni Arena ticket office, by calling 1-877-UB-THERE. A limited number of VIP concert experience tickets are still available.
