AAA gearing up for winter: Job fair seeks full-time roadside assistance drivers, tow truck drivers, dispatchers

AAA Western and Central New York is holding a job fair for candidates interested in full-time roadside assistance, tow truck driver and dispatcher positions. Those interested can stop by for an on-the-spot interview and are encouraged to apply online prior to attending the job fair for a speedier process.

Time: 3-6 p.m.

Location: 505 Duke Road, Suite 500 (behind Cabela's), Cheektowaga (14225)

Drivers will provide roadside assistance, including battery service, tire changes, lockouts, towing and minor diagnosis and repairs. Prior automotive service or professional driving background preferred. Must have at least one year of licensed driving experience. Automotive mechanical aptitude is a plus. Requires a clean and valid New York state driver's license.

Dispatchers should have previous dispatching experience, ability to read and provide directions utilizing electronic and traditional maps, general knowledge of streets, highways and local landmarks. Must have problem-solving abilities and be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have excellent communication and computer skills.

Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D., excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude. Ability to work well under pressure and familiarity with WNY area is necessary. Evening/night, weekend and holiday shifts are required.
