Students, volunteers serve through Niagara Gospel Rescue Mission

Fri, Aug 5th 2016 10:05 am

Recently, a group of volunteers from the First Baptist Church of Columbia, Alabama, along with 25 students, visited and helped out at the Niagara Gospel Rescue Mission. The volunteers from Alabama helped the mission's staff and volunteers of local study ensemble, "Focus," from the Chapel at CrossPoint, to service those in need. The combination of volunteers served meals and organized and cleaned the mission's entire Ferry Avenue facility.

"The local church has been the backbone of our mission since it began," said Tom McLaughlin, interim executive director of The Niagara Gospel Rescue Mission. "I cannot adequately express my gratitude for the hundreds of people who make our mission possible. You are Christ's message of love to those we serve. May God bless you!"
