Live music, giveaways and One Buffalo toast highlight party that pays tribute to Buffalo

(716) Food and Sport will be the place to be in Erie County on Saturday, July 16, as Western New York celebrates 716 Day. (716) will honor the Western New York community with a daylong celebration that pays tribute to the area with live music, giveaways, mascot appearances, airbrush face painting and more.

"(716) is here for the community and seeks to be an epicenter of community pride," said Dominic Verni, HARBORCENTER vice president of food and beverage. "July 16 has become representative of our area's identity and an example of the affection Western New Yorkers have for our number: 716. We look forward to once again hosting an event that celebrates all of the wonderful things that our community has come to represent."

"716 Day" festivities kick off with live music on the (716) Sideline Patio from noon to 8:30 p.m. The lineup is headlined by Vitamin D, who take the stage at 5:30 p.m. Beginning around the same time, the outdoor party will feature appearances by Sabres alumni, Sabretooth and Billy Buffalo. Buffalo-themed giveaways will make the day of some lucky guests, while free airbrush face painting will be available from noon to 3 p.m. "716 Day" culminates with the traditional (716) toast at 7:16 p.m. inside the restaurant with Southern Tier Brewing Co.'s One Buffalo Our Beer. Following the toast and live outdoor music, DJ Milk will carry the party into the night with music inside (716) to complete the celebration.

Special food and drink items will be available during the celebration on the Sideline Patio. The (716) culinary team has created the "Buffalo Split" special for 716 Day. The dessert features the newest flavor in the Perry's Ice Cream lineup: "Sundae at the Ralph," along with One Buffalo Ice Cream and Top Shelf Ice Cream. The "716 Day" celebration will also offer the first opportunity for beer lovers to enjoy a can of Southern Tier's One Buffalo Our Beer. Since launching at (716) last August, the locally brewed beer has become a favorite across Western New York on draft and in bottles. Fittingly, it will now make its debut in cans at (716) on 7/16 as part of the celebration of Western New York pride.

Seating on the (716) Sideline Patio is always available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations inside (716) are available online at www.716FoodAndSport.com.
