A large crowd came out to the Lewiston waterfront Friday, May 6, for the annual Smelt Festival. The Niagara River Anglers fried up over 400 pounds of the tasty little fish, and the Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce helped to dish them out.
Other activities included food and drink offerings at Lower Niagara Moose Lodge No. 584, which assisted the chamber, visitors dancing to the music of 90 West, and plenty of socializing on a picture-perfect late spring evening.
