Elderwood at Wheatfield and Elderwood at Grand Island are supporting the efforts of the Lewiston Council on the Arts as sponsors of "Blue Mondays" and "Bluegrass Mondays" this summer.

Now in its 22nd year, the concert series will take place at the Hennepin Park Gazebo (corner of South Fourth and Center streets) from 7-9 p.m. July 11 through Aug. 29. Each year, the concerts draw thousands of visitors from across Western New York and Southern Ontario to historic Lewiston.

"The concerts are free and provide an accessible, safe outing where seniors and families can come to socialize and enjoy a lovely evening in the park. We believe that events such as these contribute to the uniquely vibrant community that residents of Lewiston enjoy and that visitors travel to experience," LCA Artistic Director Eva Nicklas said. "We are very proud to add Elderwood to our list of sponsors."

"Blue Mondays" schedule:

  • July 11: Maria Aurigema
  •  July 18: Billy McEwen and the Soul invaders
  • July 25: Steve Burnside & the Original Marquis
  • Aug. 1: Jeremy Keyes Band

"Bluegrass Mondays" schedule:

  • Aug. 8: Mountain Run Bluegrass Band (Doug Yeomans)
  • Aug. 15: The Band Anastazja (Fratterigo family)
  • Aug. 22: Creekbend
  • Aug. 29: Rearview Ramblers
