Food Bank of Western New York promotes Kelly O'Neil to marketing & development manager

Marylou Borowiak, president and CEO of the Food Bank of Western New York, recently announced the promotion of Kelly O'Neil to marketing and development manager. O'Neil previously served as communications and donor relations supervisor for the Food Bank.

In her new role, O'Neil will oversee the entire development department, and will be responsible for facilitating the organization's marketing plan, managing fundraising efforts and special events, fostering donor relations, and promoting and protecting the Food Bank's brand. She will supervise a team that is responsible for the organization's public relations and communications, business development, fundraising and grant procurement.

"Kelly is a tremendous asset to the Food Bank, and her passion, skill set and commitment to our neighbors in need will continue to benefit the organization as we work to fight hunger one day at time," Borowiak said.

O'Neil has a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and a certificate in public relations and advertising from the University at Buffalo. She brings more than 15 years of marketing, advertising and media relations experience to her new role.

She currently resides in Lancaster with her husband and their two sons.

The Food Bank of WNY is the primary hunger relief organization in Western New York, obtaining and distributing food to 329 member agencies, including food pantries, shelters, soup kitchens, after-school programs and senior citizen centers in Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Niagara counties. Through these agencies, the Food Bank of WNY serves 129,322 individuals, including 44,445 families, 45,103 children and infants and 16,972 senior citizens.
