The Niagara University Student Government Association and the Campus Programming Board have booked R&B artist Jeremih with special guest Pia Mia for an April 22 performance at the Rapids Theatre in Niagara Falls.

The show begins at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. The event is part of the university's annual Ridgefest celebration.

Tickets go on sale to the general public for $20 apiece Wednesday, April 6. They may be purchased through the Rapids Theatre box office and website.

Niagara University students are able to buy a maximum of two tickets per person at $10 each in the Campus Activities Office in the Gallagher Center.

Student transportation to the Rapids Theatre will be provided.

Jeremih has notched five singles in the Billboard Top 100 since bursting onto the scene with his self-titled debut album in 2009. The Chicago-born artist has drawn comparisons to several high-profile performers, from Nate Dogg to R. Kelly to Jeremih's idol, Michael Jackson. The current string of hits off "Late Nights: The Album" include "Don't Tell 'Em," "Planes" with J. Cole and the dance floor scorcher "Tonight Belongs to You," which features Flo Rida and was recently remixed by EDM elite Afrojack.

Born on the tropical island of Guam, Mia is a recording artist, entrepreneur, songwriter, fashion icon, dancer, actress and Krav Maga instructor. In 2013, the video for Mia's independent single, "Red Love," debuted on Vevo and received more than 12 million YouTube views and more than 4 million SoundCloud streams. Billboard Magazine named Mia one of eight "acts who will help define 2014," a year during which she released her debut EP, "The Gift," collaborated on the soundtrack for "Divergent," and toured regularly.
