With just four weeks left prior to the start of the 2016 season, things continue to be busy at Ransomville Speedway.

Race fans are reminded of the Ransomville Speedway car show, Friday through Sunday, April 1-3, at the Eastern Hills Mall in Clarence. Come out and see what will be on the racetrack in 2016.

The season opener, set for Friday, May 6, will kick off Ransomville Speedway's 59th season. It will also be "Student Night," and students from several local high schools are expected to help fill up the grandstand area.

As race preparations build, area sponsors continue to make a commitment.

Ransomville Speedway would like to welcome back Pepsi as the official soft drink, as the Big R and Pepsi's Joe Kasbaum recently agreed to a new, three-year contract. Ransomville Speedway and Pepsi have been partners for more than 20 years.

"It's so great to have them back with us again," Ransomville Speedway General Manager Tana Robinson said. "Pepsi is also the official sponsor for our roster page in our weekly Ransomville Speedway Laps program and utilizes signage throughout the facility as one of their advertising avenues. They are great to work with and we look forward to the next three seasons with them on board."

Other sponsors lined up for 2016 include:

•The Jetport Lounge, located in Niagara Falls, has been a part of the Ransomville Speedway family for several years. The Jetport Lounge is owned by Jim Richner, father of Krown Undercoating 358 Modified driver Ricky Richner. The Jetport Lounge and the Richner family have long been loyal supporters of the racing at Ransomville Speedway.

•Niagara's Lazy Lakes Camping Resort, located just minutes from Ransomville Speedway, in Lockport, has also been a proud sponsor of Richner and Ransomville Speedway for several seasons.

The Jetport Lounge and Niagara's Lazy Lakes Camping Resort will co-sponsor the Ransomville Speedway race program on Friday, July 22.

•Mark Cerrone Inc., located in Niagara Falls, utilizes signage at Ransomville Speedway for weekly advertising and will also host a company night this season.

•Gippsters Collision, located in Youngstown, will be a division sponsor of the Four Banger Division for a sixth season. Gippsters Collision also advertises in the weekly Ransomville Laps program and is a key supporter of many area racers.
