As part of the Buffalo Niagara Int'l Film Festival's 10th anniversary celebration, the BNFF is partnering with Lewiston to host an inaugural film festival April 1-2 at the Barton Hill Hotel & Spa, 100 Center St.

BNFF's main events and opening ceremonies take place Wednesday, April 13, at the Tonawanda Castle, 69 Delaware St.

Saturday, April 16, is the BNFF Comic-Con and "Horror Films in the Basement Day," which will include a full day of comic-con market space, special celebrity guests, panel discussions, autograph and picture opportunities, world premiers, horror and other films, and a masquerade party fun-filled with entertainment, spirits and themed costumes.

Sunday, April 17, is the awards ceremony and fallen soldiers event, where special celebrity guests and presenters (including Chad Michael Murray, Camren Bicondova, Stephen Lang, Larry Bishop, Frank Dux, Stanley Isaacs and many more) will honor families of fallen soldiers from the Iraqi War with "Hero Paintings" done by Kaziah Hancock. BNFF also will announce its 2016 award winners.

There will be several high-profile panels and workshops during the BNFF to give local inspiring filmmakers and residents the opportunity to indulge in their craft. Some of these opportunities will include a legal panel, screenwriting panel, production and distribution panels, and a two-day animation workshop.

Additional highlights include a special premier of "Game Changers" by local resident Robert Imbs on April 14, a world premiere of Stanley Isaacs' new documentary film "It's Always About the Story: Conversations With Alan Ladd Jr." on April 15, and a 20-year reunion premiere of Larry Bishop's "Mad Dog Time," which starred Diane Lane, Burt Reynolds, Richard Dreyfuss, Ellen Barkin, Jeff Goldblum, Gabriel Byrne, Billy Idol and Rob Reiner, on April 15. That event will be complete with special appearances and never-before-seen "behind the scenes" footage.

Additionally, there will be announcements of new films in development that will be shot locally with some major stars and talent organized by BNFF festival founder and president, Bill Cowell. Included will be a Native American Film, animation, the prequel to the highly acclaimed "Bloodsport" feature that made Jean-Claude Van Damme famous, and a new concept feature in tribute to Quentin Tarantino.

Plus, look for future inclusions into the BNFF Walk Of Fame and commemorative BNFF monument (currently in development).

All show times and events can be found on the BNFF website at www.thebnff.com.
