Students and faculty members at Niagara University have planned several events to celebrate Women's History Month.

The nonprofit organization To Write Love on Her Arms will hold a discussion from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, in the Gallagher Center. Audience members will participate in self-love and self-empowerment exercises, including writing "Dear Body" letters, and learn about mental health.

Storyteller Laura Packer presents "Conversations with Sojourner Truth" on Wednesday, March 16, inside the Castellani Art Museum. The keynote address begins at 6 p.m. and is co-sponsored by the Niagara Falls National Heritage Area, the Castellani Art Museum, and NU's communication studies and history departments. Packer's presentation will focus on Truth, an ex-slave abolitionist, women's suffragist and preacher. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.

"Women in STEM at Niagara University" will take place Saturday, March 19, inside Dunleavy Hall, Room 127. Students and faculty who are a part of Niagara University's science, technology, engineering and math programs will speak on their experiences of being women in those fields. The event will take place from 1-2:30 p.m.

All events are open to the public.
