Tom Keefer and Celtic Cross at Ironworks

Tom Keefer and Celtic Cross will take the stage at Buffalo Ironworks at 3 p.m. this Saturday for a matinee show.

Billed by the band as the opening of its "Irish Heritage Month" celebration, this will be an afternoon of rousing Celtic music. The band features Thomas Keefer of Wilson on vocals/mandolin/piano/guitar, Tim Bristol of Niagara Falls on vocals/bass, Jane of Niagara Falls on vocals/violin and Bill Moore of Kenmore on drums. 

Saturday's lineup will have noted guest musicians Joel Slazyk of Ransomville on bass and "Zew" Robert Palaszewski of West Seneca on violin.

"We are pleased to begin this month's performance at a great venue like Buffalo Ironworks," Keefer said. "This is a great way to kick this month off."

Hailing from the bonnie shores of Loch Ontario and firmly dedicated to preserving Irish and Scottish heritage through song, Keefer delivers music from his ancestors James Reid of Glasgow, Elizabeth Duffy of Ireland and Clifford Foley from Irish South Buffalo. Drawing on many years of experience such as providing the Niagara Celtic Heritage 

A past member of Lochside Celtic Band (and Duo), Keefer has opened for international acts the Red Hot Chili Pipers (twice), Enter The Haggis, NationalDance Company Of Ireland Rhythm of the Dance (twice) and The Fighting Jamesons. He has headlined many Celtic festivals.
