"We're stepping up our efforts this year by bringing in two national organizations to share their experience and knowledge with our community - all at no cost to our attendees."

These and all of ASI's professional development sessions are free and open to the public thanks to support from Fund for the Arts, Erie County and the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.

The March session will feature National Arts Marketing Project faculty member Chris McLeod, a strategic marketing and branding professional based in Washington, D.C. Arts Business Institute Executive Director Carolyn Edlund will teach the April sessions.

"Effective marketing and audience development are key to our cultural sector's future growth and viability," Kniazuk said. "Whether you're just starting out or you've been in the field a long time, I urge everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to learn from some of the leaders in the national field."
