Buffalo Sabres: Game-used goalie pad auction running until Feb. 21

The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team is holding a game-used goalie pad auction that is currently running on auction.NHL.com until 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.

The pads available for bidding include sets of game-used pads from previous Sabres' seasons, including pads from Jhonas Enroth, Anders Lindback, Matt Hackett and others.

The Buffalo Sabres Foundation is a New York state not-for-profit corporation, qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and qualified as a public charity. The Buffalo Sabres Foundation was established in 1995 and reinvigorated in 2011 following the acquisition of the Buffalo Sabres by Terry and Kim Pegula.

The foundation's mission is to stimulate, support and encourage organizations that serve Western New York and are committed to youth hockey initiatives; the health, wellness and education of underprivileged/disadvantaged youth and military personnel; and physically and mentally challenged athlete. The foundation provides financial generosity and other platforms for such endeavors. Through such support, these organizations can realize their highest potential, thereby allowing their members to gain the confidence and integrity necessary to succeed in life.
