Sabres recall forward Daniel Catenacci

The Buffalo Sabres announced Friday the team recalled forward Daniel Catenacci from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Catenacci (age 22, 5'9", 191 pounds) will join the Sabres for his first career recall. A native of Richmond Hill, Ontario, he has 16 points (7 goals, 9 assists) in 36 games for the Amerks this season. His 7 goals are tied for the second-highest total on the team.

Selected by Buffalo in the third round (77th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft, Catenacci is currently riding a five-game point streak for Rochester. In 182 career games for the Amerks, he has 68 points (33/35) and 123 penalty minutes.
