Buffalo Sabres: Game-worn jersey auction running until Jan. 27

The Buffalo Sabres announced the team is holding a game-worn jersey auction that is currently running on auction.NHL.com until 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.

The jerseys available for bidding include set one of the game-worn road jerseys from the 2015-16 season, highlighted by newcomers Jack Eichel and Ryan O'Reilly. Included in the set will be Eichel's first road jersey worn in the NHL with a patch included on the jersey to commemorate his first NHL road game.

The Buffalo Sabres Foundation is a New York not-for-profit corporation, qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and qualified as a public charity. The Buffalo Sabres Foundation was established in 1995 and reinvigorated in 2011 following the acquisition of the Buffalo Sabres by Terry and Kim Pegula.

The Buffalo Sabres Foundation mission statement is to stimulate, support and encourage organizations that serve Western New York and are committed to youth hockey initiatives; the health, wellness and education of underprivileged/disadvantaged youth and military personnel; and physically and mentally challenged athlete. The foundation provides financial generosity and other platforms for these endeavors.
